Quiet cabin, the family loved staying here. From the pool table to arcade game, bbq grill to hot tub, everything was as advertised. Not too far from all the attractions the area has to offer.

My friends and I had an amazing relaxing weekend at the cabins. Great communication! The Cicadas scared me but after the first night it was like they ran away lol. I enjoyed myself and do plan to return in the future.

This was our first experience using VRBO and staying in a cabin. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Very clean, spacious, road leading to cabin was paved and well maintained. Justin responded in a timely manner to any questions we had. We look forward to our next vacations using VRBO.

We enjoyed our stay at the Smoky Mountain cabin. Our goal was to have a place for our families to enjoy together, with plenty of space for all and provide leisure for all ages. The rooms were spacious and clean with plenty of bathrooms :). We spent the days being out at Dollywood and seeing sights so coming back in the evenings it was good to make use of the hot tub, sauna and games room. Our hosts were very communicative and all was in order and as described in the profile. Thanks for a great stay.

We loved this property and our vacation in Tennessee. The house is located to easily reach all the major activities in the area but nestled back in a beautiful area with Mountain View’s and beautiful scenery. The house was wonderful and had everything we needed. We had a great family trip and hope to return again!

Justin’s place is very relaxing and great for a family looking to relax, laugh, bond, and etc.
Property is a short drive from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will definitely keep this property on our list when we return.

The cabin was true to pictures, beautiful, clean and spacious. Our party of 6 had ample room. Kitchen had plenty of plates and drinkware as well as cooking pots, pans, bakeware and utensils. We used and enjoyed the hot tub, clean and spacious. Justin was very polite and helpful on the days leading up to the stay and during checkout.

This cabin exceeded our expectations. Sometimes the pictures make the cabin appear better than the actual condition. This was not the case. This place was exactly as described, and we could not be any more pleased with the accommodations. It was clean well laid out and felt cozy without being crowded. We spent our days running around Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, but every evening was spent having quality family time at the cabin and it could not have been better. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed and the beds were comfortable. The 4 bathrooms made things convenient in the mornings when everyone was getting ready and the pool table and arcade game was a plus!
Justin was very responsive when I emailed him with questions and we would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and family. Looking forward to returning here again in the future.

Everything was as stated in the listing... except so much more! Very roomie, comfortable & clean! Just beautiful! The Game room was so much fun, every bedroom was BIG & 2 had their own bathrooms & the third has it own bathroom just outside of the room. Kitchen had everything needed to make meals at the cabin if you wanted. The porch was large & had rocking chairs to just sit & relax! And a hot tub!! Had a Great time & many memories made! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They didn't want to leave, so we added and extra day . The host was great with communicating and he works with you. Justin went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated . .I truly enjoyed the world pool tub , jacuzzi and the steam shower. Easy access to everything we needed. Gorgeous cabin for our family to enjoy on our vacation. Not only was it very spacious for our family of 7, but it had all the amenities we could possibly need. The rustic decor and cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The large kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for our group, and the dining area comfortably seated everyone.
The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable, ensuring everyone got a good night's sleep. We especially appreciated the private hot tub and the beautiful mountain views from the deck, which provided the perfect backdrop for our morning coffee and evening relaxation.
The cabin's location was ideal, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to local attractions like Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The kids enjoyed the game room, which was stocked with fun activities that kept them entertained for hours.
Overall, our stay at the cabin was fantastic.

The cabin was great over all. The owners answered all the questions i had within a timely manner. The only complains i would have would be the beds in the lower level where cheeky. There was a large amount of bird poop on the main level deck right next to grill kind of made us not want to grill. Over all a great place to stay.

For first time family vacay, it was great having our own space and own bathrooms. Every time I had a question Justin answered very quickly even when I didn’t realize it was getting late at night or that it wasn’t such an intelligent question on my part. Cabin was absolutely gorgeous!
Pros- great location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Hiking, Dollywood. Pool for little ones, pool table and hot tub for grown ups and games.
Cons- have to walk through downstairs bedrooms to get to hot tub which was not convenient if other couples/kids were sleeping. Beds were a little too stiff for our liking and some sagged in the middle. If you are a late sleeper take downstairs room because everything echos from living room. Had small ant problem when we first got there but there was spray under sink and didn’t have issue after that.
Unfortunately, Justin does not have control the weather otherwise it would have been close to perfect! Definitely will return and hoping to do girls trip

This was truly a home away from home. It was clean, well organized, everything was easy to find. Inside and out this was an amazing cabin with wonderful amenities, had plenty of plates, silverware and cookware. Small party of 3, so we all had our very own space. We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The check in process was easy and the check out process was simple! I think I’m going to miss the early morning hot tub sessions before getting in the steam showers to start the day. The location is pretty convenient for being in the mountains. We were close to Pigeon Forge and about 45 min from Gaitlinburg. Everything was super clean and the king beds in every room made it super easy to choose a bedroom. The food options around were to die for and once you leave the cabin you probably won’t be back until dinner time. The kitchen was equipped with all the things you could possibly need or want. 4 full bathrooms! We only had 3 adults and 1 child but it’s always great to have options! 2 steam showers that both worked perfectly. The steam showers may have been my favorite part lol. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary in the oversized jet tub watching tv and eating ice cream after a fantastic dinner at The Chop House. This place is great for couples, friends, and family. You can’t go wrong choosing The Bear Essentials!! We will definitely be back, HOPEFULLY NEXT ANNIVERSARY! Thanks Justin for your quick responses and a wonderful home!

We had a great time at the Bear Essentials! It was beautiful and in a nice location as well! We were in a peaceful location but also close to all the attractions nearby. Check in was an easy process and Justin made sure we had the info we needed upon arrival for easy entry. Justin was a great host and was always quick to reply if I had a question. I had previously asked if there would be a Christmas tree in the cabin and they usually don’t have one there.. but to our surprise there was one beautifully lit and decorated for us upon arrival! That was such a nice surprise, thanks again for everything! We had a great time in the smokies!

We rented this cabin for a weekend trip with my family, brother’s family, and the grandparents. It was very spacious but still cozy, spotless, and in a great location. We had 2 day passes to Dollywood and it was about 20 min to the park and other destinations on Parkway. It was only 4 miles from the Applewood restaurant and Apple Barn shop, so we had breakfast there on the way out. Not so far up the mountain it was a chore to get to, but still far enough away to feel cabin-y with good views of wooded area from the back windows. Very pleased with our experience!

Perfect cabin for my daughter's first vacation to Tennessee and she loved it! Awesome views out of the large picture windows. Morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the deck was relaxing. Host was very communicative, and the guidebook had lots of good recommendations for the area. The cabin was well stocked and clean. Check in and check out were easy and seamless. Would definitely stay again!

We had an excellent quick stay at the Bear Essentials cabin. You can tell the owner loves and maintains the cabin well. So many sweet touches. Our kids loved all the bears in all the decor. We stayed while visiting for a Tennessee football game and it was the *perfect* choice- a 30 min hassle free drive into campus and was able to park cheap and easily on Chapman hwy to avoid all the traffic post game. Not only was our stay great, but the owner was able to find and mail back a beloved stuffed animal we left behind. I cannot recommend enough. We will be back!

Absolutely the Best place that we have stayed by far in Tennessee and we visit a couple times a year..
Beautiful scenery, Cozy and Clean.
Sauna’s in the showers, Hot tub and Jacuzzi’s was absolutely AMAZING!! The Beds was so comfy and BIG.
The VIEW was insanely amazing!!!
So close to town and love all the rocking chairs…

We loved just playing games and hanging out at the cabin—a great place to relax and recharge. And when we chose to go out, it was not too far of a drive to our activities. I have rental property here in town…I recently sold mine and had to book for the first time in years.. this house was as stated.. rooms are large.. square footage is really good for a typical 3 bedroom in town.. house limit was ten but can easily accommodate more if allowed … only draw back is very limited parking… did have bears on front porch .. as they have a path right next to this property.. will book again

Our family had a wonderful time staying at Justin’s Cabin. The location is perfect. Far enough away from everything to enjoy some peace. Close enough to get to all the attractions easily. The cabin amenities were great. Justin is a fabulous and proactive communicator. Any questions I might have had were answered before we could even think of it. Would highly recommend staying here!

Justin is an awesome host!
He and his team was always so responsive. Even late at night when we noticed a minor issue and was so quick to help fix.
The cabin was beautiful, spacious, clean and pristine in a wonderful resort community. We had a wonderful time here and are definitely visiting again :)
P.S - We also got a glimpse of a huge black bear doing the rounds in the community.

VERY CLEAN! Only 2 things, dishwasher was inoperative, and because of the bears, garbage cans are small and in a metal cage like propane tanks at the gas station. So, I give it definitely a 5 star. Appliances break down, with 7-10 people we did a fair amount of dishes and without a burn barrel a fair amount of trash. Their management/owner did try n reset the dishwasher(but it was dead) and was attentive to removing the trash. I’d go again in a heartbeat, great place, and VERY CLEAN!

The pictures don’t do it justice! I highly recommend this cabin as it’s tucked in the mountains but close enough to all the action. We had some hiccups in the beginning but Justin corrected immediately. He is a very responsive host! The layout of this cabin is amazing!

This cabin was just right for my family. The kids never left after we arrived and they still had a ball in the game room. There were 2 jetted tubs and a jacuzzi that we all took part in. Even though it was in a community, it was still very peaceful and quiet! I Definitely recommend this cabin.

Cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. Everything was as described and in tip top shape. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for cooking meals. The game room was also an added bonus with lots of choices. The area is beautiful and peaceful and the community pool was easily accessible for our family. The house was beautiful. All of the supplies that you think you would need were there. Only think that would have made the house ABSOLUTELY MORE PERFECT would have been a screened in porch and screens in the windows and doors to keep the bees and bears out...lol

The cabin was just as described. Everything was very clean. Justin sent various messages with up to date information and places to go to. Close to restaurants, grocery store, Dollywood. We enjoyed our time there and will come back. Kitchen is well equipped.

Cabin is in a great place if you want to stay away from all the tourists. We found turning by the Red Lobster on New Era Rd is the best way in. I misread the listing and thought the cabin was 2 levels instead of 3. Since my mom is in her 80s and has a knee brace I ask if we could change cabins the next day. Justin had multiple listings but instead of helping I received a response that a full bath was on the main level and could sleep on the pullout couch. Trip would have been much better if wasn’t worried about her falling down the stairs. Not a cabin for someone with mobility issues since bedrooms are upstairs or downstairs.
