Bear Up There Cabin

This is our second time staying in one of Justin’s cabins and we loved it! The location felt very private but yet close to everything. Justin answered any and all of the questions we had. Communication was absolutely great!

We had a wonderful family vacation.. The house was exactly like the pictures show. It was so peaceful in the morning going on the porch swing listening to the birds and all the noises. The pool table and hot tub was a big hit. We all had a blast. We definitely will be back.

The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. We were in our own secluded world but still close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The cabin is well furnished and very clean.
I had a couple of miscellaneous questions and reached out to Justin. Justin responded within just a few minutes.
This was a great meet up place for the family with us coming from different states. We will definitely be back.

Bear up there cabin was perfect for our family! Grandparents stayed on the main level, my husband and I upstairs with the younger kids and the older kids had the downstairs to themselves! We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub, had coffee on the porch looking out at the trees, everything was peaceful and just what we needed!

Let me just say, this cabin was beautiful!!! It was very private, secluded, and absolutely perfect for our family trip. We really loved the hot tub and pool table, and spent lots of time gathered on the deck laughing. The kitchen was fully stocked with just about anything you need, and the beds were so comfortable! All main attractions were no more than a 30-minute drive away and the host provided a coupon book/helpful guide. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, roomy place to stay with the family!

We had the most amazing stay! As much fun as Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are we had the most fun at the beautiful cabin. very spacious yet still a cozy, private space to enjoy the mountains! Justin is an amazing host and so helpful, can’t wait to book another stay!

We had a great time at the cabin in pigeon forge, location for perfect, just a short drive to both gatlinburg and pigeon forge downtown area. lots to do and see. Only thing is to make sure your car is capable of getting up the crazy gravel driveway! Other than that it was a wonderful stay and it was a beautiful location.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin for Easter break. We felt it was the perfect size for our family of six (2 adults, 4 kids). We sleep on the upper level and had room for the grandparents on main level. The downstairs family room with the pool table was a hit with everyone. Plus the hot tub was very spacious and hot. The cabin is in a great location. Easy drive into either Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. The drive up to it is steep and twisty, but totally doable. The host was very responsive, friendly and attentive. We plan to return in the future. Thanks for a great stay.

Cabin was very spacious and lots to do with the board games including the corn hole and the scenery was perfect. Hot tube was relaxing.

We loved our stay and would definitely stay again on a return visit. The cabin was very clean, it had everything we needed and Justin was very responsive.
The kids loved to pool table downstairs and we all had fun hanging out in the hottub. I loved sitting out on the porch in the mornings sipping on herbal tea while the rest of the house was asleep.
The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare family meals, including a tea kettle which I appreciated having.
Definitely recommend staying here if your looking for a family friendly cabin for your vacation.

This is our third year in a row going to the Smoky Mountains. We love the atmosphere. This will now be the cabin that I will rent if available from Justin. Beds are super comfy. Loved the full kitchen of cooking utensils. Loved the porch with my cup of coffee in the morning. Had a great time with the family! Thank you

One of the best vacations we’ve ever had, everything he told us matched perfectly. A lot of things to do very near by, the house was in a very nice calm place the views were perfect. We will definitely be back!

Spent Christmas with my family and another couple. Cabin was spacious with plenty of space for the kids to play and the adults to socialize. I loved the seperate area for the game room downstairs. the kids enjoyed the hot tub!!!! Cabin was equipped with all the baby items we needed (play pen, high chair, and baby gate). A few extra baby gates would be beneficial in some areas. The kitchen had everything we needed. Great place to stay and very close to all attractions. Will be staying again in the future.

This was the second time renting from host Justin. Property matched the pictures and host is very friendly. This place was perfect for a weekend getaway with family. Hot tub was perfect. Highly recommend this place.

The place is gorgeous! Beautifully decorated, clean, and everything was perfect! The hot tub was a hit. The kitchen had everything we needed and the game area was cozy and provided lots of fun things to do. The host was friendly and helpful and was eager to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved the Christmas tree and the cozy fireplace. The giant tv in the game room was perfect for watching sports and movies.
There are 2 things to point out:
1- The drive up is a well-paved but windy mountain road. The final road up to the house is gravel with some ruts that make it a rough drive but with caution you can mostly avoid them.
2- The downstairs bedroom doesn’t have a door and is open to the game room with the fold out couch. It could be fine for some families but it was not apparent in the listing description.
Overall everything was perfect and we highly recommend the property and the host!

The cabin is ideally situated—close enough to enjoy local attractions like Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge, yet secluded enough to provide total peace and tranquility. Waking up to the stunning mountain views and the sound of nature was a dream. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. They were quick to respond to any questions and provided great recommendations for dining and activities in the area. Whether you’re looking for a romantic retreat, a family getaway, or a weekend with friends, this cabin is the perfect choice. We are already planning our next visit!

A very nice cabin. The property is clean, well-maintained, and in great condition. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was a great amenity.
There are some things that should be improved: the shower amenities should be improved (two tiny, cheap shampoo bottles provided). And the WiFi is pretty weak which makes some streaming and computer applications difficult to run. But overall we had a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Our family time at the cabin was just what we all needed to escape from reality and enjoy the serenity! From the hot tub to the pool table to the board games, it was what we needed to disconnect from the norm and connect with each other. We would highly recommend this cabin for anyone who would like to get away from it all and still be within a short scenic drive to lots of local attractions.

It was just what we needed for our family get together. When he says it’s better to have 4 wheel drive he means it. The roads are paved up to Gregory way is gravel and now has pot holes so make sure you bring a vehicle conducive to rough terrain. The cabin was nice, clean and comfortable. It was very enjoyable.

Very private, secluded, and beautifully decorated cabin tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. The cabin was accurate to the listing photos and matched the description. Great communication and recommendations from the host. My son and two nephews enjoyed the loft, gaming area downstairs, as well as the hot tub. The bedding was super nice and soft. The drive up to the cabin is a bit rutted out which could be an issue for a smaller car, but with an SUV you will be fine. Overall great stay and would recommend to others.

Best family vacation ever.. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the playroom, we all enjoyed the Jacuzzi. We saw bears and beautiful waterfalls... The toaster wasn't working and Justin and his maintenance crew went above and beyond and was there with a new one in an hour... it was wonderful through and through... well definitely try to look for another one of Justin's cabins in the future...

This cabin was super cute for a weekend getaway with friends!! Everything was as described and trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels and bath towels were all supplied as starters. Baby gate, high chair were both in clear view for use and the decks were both enclosed (upper has a gate) so little ones couldn’t run off! It is a bit of a drive to pigeon forge/Gatlinburg (25-30min) but if you plan to be out during the day and not make multiple trips in and out in the same day it’s not inconvenient at all! Secluded and nice parking pad for vehicles. The host was always quick to respond and gave us very clear instructions on all cabin info. If visiting with babies I would recommend bringing your own baby gate as well as the steps to the basement are open as are the steps to the loft. Plenty of dishes supplied for cooking/dining. Would definitely stay here again!

Justin and Karis cabin was absolutely beautiful. The cabin was well maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. This place was perfect for what we needed. We had 2 families and a guest for a total of 9 people. The house was really nice and spacious enough that we weren't on top of each other. The owner was great with their communications as well. The location was close enough for all the activities in the area but far away enough from the crowded towns. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time with our daughter ,son in law and grand babies from Florida. Was a great experience the pool table was a big hit. Was fairly close to Pigeon Forge. Got to see a momma turkey and a her babies was very cool.
We loved doing the mountain coaster and indoor snow tubing was some of the things we did.

This cabin was awesome! From the pictures to the checkout it was 10/10. There were 6 adults and 3 kids, there was something for everyone to
do. Enough room for all of us comfortably. Only 20 mins from the strip and to Dollywood. Beautiful scenery. The hot tub, pool table, and games were a plus to this awesome cabin. Our stay at this cabin was absolutely fantastic! We got in later than expected the first day but it was easy to find even in the dark. The beds were so comfortable and the sheets were soft. It was hot hot hot outside but the cabin stays nice and cool. The activities available at the cabin make it easy to stay in and relax with the family. Justin provided great suggestions for local activities and eateries. We visited Gatlinburg for the day and our favorite part was definitely the Ripley’s Mountain Coaster! We ended our last night watching a movie and snacking it up!

Cabin was absolutely perfect! Clean, neat, and spacious. The game room is amazing! The television is perfect for movie nights and there are a variety of board games to play with your family. The drive to the cabin is a bit curvy but other than that the road isn't too bad. About 20 minutes out from The Island. Overall a great cabin and would definitely stay again!

From the first moment of confirming the reservation we already felt excited. Justin is an excellent host. Then, getting to the cabin and spending those days there, can only be described with one word: WONDERFUL... It is Comfortable, Harmonious, excellent interior designs, great hygiene, super comfortable rooms, a splendid kitchen, the balconies, the The games room, the hot tubs, the surroundings... a true gem in the mountains. Had a great time at the cabin. Justin was proactive in communication. Cabin was clean and had all the things we needed. Approximately 250 ft of roadway leading to driveway is gravel so it can be a little bit tricky if you don’t have a truck or SUV.

Returned home after a MDW stay in Justin’s Cabin and i’m ready to make the drive back!! So friendly, Super Stunning Cabin, absolutely perfect fit for our family!! The cabin is located in the woods, providing a sense of seclusion yet close enough to get to other attractions with a short drive. We had one small issue, but the host was very responsive (even late at night). When we were sitting in the hot tub, the neighbor started lighting off fireworks. Otherwise, the stay was peaceful. The cabin was absolutely beautiful! Completely equipped with everything you need, even a baby gate, pack 'n' play, & high chair! TV's in every room & the beds are comfortable! There was even a hair dryer in each bathroom. Justin was so helpful & had great recommendations & always responded quickly. The only thing I would recommend is more towels/wash cloths! If you choose this cabin you will not be disappointed!

This is a great cabin! The pictures are beautiful, but it exceeded our expectations. The house was very clean and the hosts were kind and communicative. We felt right at home and very much enjoyed our family time making memories here!

Justin and Kari's cabin was beautiful. Justin was awesome at responding if you wrote . He also made sure we knew what was around there for things to do. The family and I had an amazing time at the cabin. We have alot of wonderful memories and many of laughs and hope to be return guests. Thank you Justin and Kari for sharing your cabin with us.

We absolutely loved our cabin! We actually paid for an extra night because we didn’t want to leave! Our host was the best and he communicated very fast and he was very friendly! It was a great location away from everything and it was beautiful! Thank you so much! Keep up the great work with appeasing your guests! We will be back!!
