BearFoot Hills Retreat

Our stay was perfect. There is so much to do and see in the area, but even when you’re just having a night in there is something for everyone. The views from this cabin made every morning worth getting up early to enjoy your coffee on the deck. The hot tub made winding down after an adventure filled day so relaxing. The house itself was spacious enough for our group to all relax without being on top of one another. Everything we needed to make breakfast in the morning was stocked in the kitchen. The host keeps a great house and we would definitely stay there again. We even got to encounter some local wildlife when a bear passed through one morning.

Checking in was easy, Justin was always a text away. The kitchen had enough stuff and some stuff we didn’t know they had, Wi-Fi was easy to get on to and had no problems with it and transportation was good. The kids loved the pool table, the pool and the cinema room. Us, adults loved the view and the porch. The house was great and our stay was wonderful!!

This was my 60th birthday celebration with family and friends. The cabin was spotless. The pool was in private location and lovely. We were able to see a Momma Bear and 2 of her babies every day of our stay. The house was clean and updated. The kitchen is upstairs which was a little challenging to myself and some of my friends "of age". Porch is perfect for the smoky mountain views. Hot tub on upper porch is nice and relaxing at night. Can't wait to come back.

We had the pleasure of staying at Shane’s cabin. The cabin is breath taking, peaceful and not a hard drive to reach it. The pictures match, and the pool is bigger than some average indoor pools in the area, which was a plus for the kids. The hot tub is huge with a nice cover. The deck is spacious enough to have family breakfast and dinner, while enjoying the view. If you’re searching as long as I did before picking this cabin, trust me it’s worth it! Oh did I mention how comfortable the beds are? Whew we had some of the best sleep. Thank you Shane for allowing us to stay at your cabin. We’re already planning for our return!

We LOVED the house! It had everything we wanted and it was very clean! We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub, pool table, fire pit, movie theatre, and the kitchen was amazing! It was perfect for our family vacation. The location was beautiful, still close to town but far enough out to enjoy the view. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking full meals. The house offered so much, we didn't need to go to town much to entertain the kids. The hosts are very nice and great to communicate with! We hope to come back soon! I highly recommend this house for families! Our kids had the time of their lives at the house and so did we! Thank you for hosting us!

Beautiful home and we loved the pool! We had some trouble with the pool the first day, but it was corrected before the end of the day and we were able to use it for the remainder of our stay. The setting was incredible.. we loved the views and the privacy. We would stay here again!

Beautiful cabin. Everything was as described. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook. The house was very clean. Beautiful property with amazing Mountain views firm the cabin. The indoor pool was AMAZING! Host was very responsive when I needed help with something. 10/10 on this visit. It was FANTASTIC!!! The house is gorgeous. It’s out of the way of the busy town, but close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg that it didn’t take long to get there. Thanks for letting our family make amazing spring break memories! We will be back. :)

We took a family vacation for Spring Break, it had stuff for everyone todo and enjoy. The boys enjoyed the theatre room and the pool. The views from the balcony were amazing.
Definitely would stay here again next we come back to the Smokey Mountains.

We had a wonderful family vacation/wedding. Shane’s place has plenty of room for our family of 8 plus an infant. Well stocked with everything you will need. The pool room itself is heated but the pool itself is not. So only a few of us could brave the cold water to give it a go. Kids had a great time in it the 1 time it was used. Hot tub was perfect.

Our group of 11 had a fantastic experience at this cabin! The scenery was absolutely stunning, and the road to the cabin was easy to navigate. The layout of the cabin worked perfectly for our group of 4 adults and 7 kids, giving us plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our own areas without feeling crowded. We especially loved the spacious kitchen, pool, hot tub, and movie room. It was the ideal setup for both relaxation and fun.
The cabin was very clean, and the kitchen was well-stocked, making meal preparation a breeze. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and straightforward. We’ll definitely be returning for future stays. Our only regret is that we didn’t set aside more time to relax and enjoy the cabin itself. A few extra days spent simply soaking in the beauty of nature, the pool, and the peacefulness of the mountains would have been the perfect complement to our trip!

This listing is EXACTLY as it’s described! Within 5 minutes of arrival, we saw a mama bear and her three cubs walking from the opposite side of the pool house through the yard and down across the road, didn’t see them again the whole weekend. The scene from the deck is stunning! We had dinner one night at the food truck park at the bottom of the hill, maybe a ten minute drive. Would highly recommend for large groups and will definitely book again!

The perfect cabin with plenty of room for 3 families with small children! The pool room is in a separate locked area so no worries about the little ones getting in! The movie room was our favorite part, comfy seating for movie night! Loved the location, close to local coffee shops and restaurants and easy drive to big attractions in pigeon forge! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a few issues during our stay I contacted the owner the dishwasher and light downstairs in laundry room was not working. He sent a tech but could not fix them. The garage door to the pool would not go up, we manually raised it. The theater room tv was not even programmed one, we had to figure out. One of the bedrooms downstairs didn’t have a remote to the tv. The cabin is not handicap friendly. I would stay again loved the location. Just if you have elderly parents in a walker don’t stay here the main floor is only bedrooms. We made great memories for our weekend. Thank you for a great getaway. Just wished I had read it more carefully.

We loved this house. I fit our family wonderful. It was nice and quiet, not far from town. The ac was broken and the owner took care of getting it fixed. It was a bummer that it was fixed on the last day though. But they took care of us. We bought some fans to help with the heat. It was a really neat house with the large living room and kitchen with the back deck. We will stay here again. :)

It was really great!
The only thing I will say is there was not a stainless steel pot to be found. It was all chipped and scratched Teflon/ nonstick. Which made it hard for people who refuse to use that stuff, to cook our own meals but we managed well enough and the entire stay here was a wonderful time for our family.

Place was amazing and private … we also had a friendly bear visitor up on the deck and also got to see a momma and her cubs… If you don’t bother the bears they won’t bother you. Don’t be stupid and try to get selfies with them leave them to their environment and admire them from afar. . Locals were extremely friendly and informative. If want a place outside the hussel and bussel this is the perfect spot to stay. Thank you Justin and Shane for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house !!!!

This cabin was the perfect place for our family vacation. We loved the area the home is located. Nicely secluded, but yet close enough to enjoy every aspect of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The beds and showers were clean and the hot tub with the view was a perfect ending to each busy day! Watching a movie in the media room, playing pool, or going for a swim were all fun extras too. This was a great place close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but in a more peaceful setting. Our proximity to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park was perfect which is what we wanted most. The home was very clean and had great amenities. Some little things were missing that you usually get with an Airbnb like coffee/sugar with the coffee bar and extra towels for the pool, but we would love to stay here again in the future.

Excellent mountain stay for families. Loved having the pool on a separate building for the kiddos. Gave us a lot of peace of mind. Excellent views, and very private. Responsive host. Not too far from pigeon forge or Gatlinburg. Great hikes nearby and a wonderful creekside picnic area is just a short drive away. We will be back.

The home was absolutely beautiful. Great entertainment area.....awesome theater room, extra large kitchen and bar area. We had 7 guests and felt there was plenty of room for more. Stunning views from the deck/balcony area. Beautiful indoor pool, the pool isn't heated, however the room was very warm and the pool felt great. Lovely grounds with a fire pit and outdoor swing overlooking the mountain. Very peaceful location, yet close enough to all the attractions. Much quality for what we paid. Would love to return!

The place was wonderful! Exactly like the pictures, very clean with a beautiful view and a lot of space! The home accommodates 10 which I maximized — we did run out of miscellaneous items like tissue, trash bags, dish pods etc. due to our guest size however there was store less than 3 minutes away that had everything we needed! It was a great stay. Definitely recommend and will be back!

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The drive wasn’t too crazy - a few steep, curvy spots - but not bad. Yet, it felt nearly secluded - so peaceful & quiet. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the pool in its own building was great (although the water cold as others have said), and everything was clean and comfy. The movie room was first rate. Our favorite aspects were the hot tub, pool table, and lovely kitchen - all of which had breathtaking mountain views. The hosts were very responsive without overdoing it. Overall, we were impressed. 5-star all the way.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was a great space for 2 families. The views were wonderful. The home is clean and well cared for. There was plenty of parking.
We did run into a few issues checking in (gate code needed), but they were quickly resolved.
The pool also is not heated, but the room is heated and our 5 children loved having this space and swimming! ( The adults tried to get the kids to go out and explore and they just wanted to swim and play pool)
Also come prepared if you plan on cooking. There are plenty of pots, pans and casserole dishes, but bring your own spices and coffee stuff.
Overall we definitely would come back to Tennessee and book this place again. It is definitely worth it!
