Perfect for both a romantic getaway or a weekend away with the family, Cozy Bear Lodge is the perfect Smoky Mountain cabin for a TRUE mountain experience. It's a very large 1 BR (sleeps 6) with wifi, a hot tub, an arcade and tons of space.
The cabin is central between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and just 6 miles away from the action. But it FEELS isolated, being in the middle of the woods and hills.
The space
The cabin is located deep in the woods, down a beautiful and winding mountain road. It's located directly between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, so it's right where you want to be. Getting there, you even cross a small creek and pond... It's perfect for having your cabin experience in the Smokys!
You can take in the birds and trees from rockers on both the front and back porches, soak in the hot tub after a long day hiking/shopping, or relax with the TV and pool table. (Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube TV are all logged in and ready to go). We also have an arcade in the bedroom for some extra fun!
The cabin itself is appointed just as you'd hope and is huge for a 1 bedroom (1386 sf) so you never feel cramped for space. Upstairs is the open living area with soaring ceilings and plenty of windows to let the light in. A sleeper sofa and chair frame the gas fireplace so everyone can stay warm on those cold evenings. Also, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need - Keurig and a coffee maker, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, blender, crock pot, microwave, iron and board, washer and dryer. Just bring any food you want and you're all set.
There is a also a 4 burner propane bbq grill on the porch with all the tools you need to grill up a tasty meal.
The two flat screen TVs have Netflix/YouTube TV/Disney+ hooked up and of course there is wifi so you stay connected. (But ONLY if you want to!)
The bedroom features a king bed with extra comfy mattress, which is perfect for getting a great night of sleep. There is a full shower+bath in here too, as well as a Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom!
We recently added a second sleeper sofa and table to the room just in case you either want to relax or bring along an extra person or two.
On the outside, there's a private hot tub on the porch to warm your muscles and help you relax after a long day exploring the area. Keep your eyes open because if you're lucky, every week or two guests spot a black bear (Dolly) and her cubs walking by!!
When you're done relaxing in the hills, the entire area is chock full of things to see and do. Head to Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a long hike and your eyes peeled for wildflowers, white-tailed deer and 60+ species of birds that are there year round. If it happens to be rainy, climb into your car and take a drive through the park for glimpses of historic buildings dating back to the 1800s. In either case, pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it!
Dollywood is the beating heart in the area and has something for all ages, whether it be amusement park rides or fun live entertainment. Gatlinburg Golf Course is there if you have a desire to get in a few holes... But most don't know that there is a Harrah's Casino a short drive away in Cherokee, NC. And of course you can ski at Ober in Gatlinburg as well as Cataloochee Ski Area in North Carolina if you want to get some half decent shredding action.
NOTE:
- If there is snow/ice on the ground, you will want a 4WD vehicle. The Smoky Mountains are very hilly and the cabin is on a hill too. I'm not aware of any wrecks due to weather but I definitely want you to be safe!

Our team will be following all CDC guidelines on cleaning ; using EPA registered products to thoroughly clean ; disinfect so you can feel more comfortable staying at our cabin.
GETTING AROUND THE AREA

The entire Smoky Mountain area is very hilly (After all, it IS the Smoky Mountains!) so do yourself a favor and download an offline map in your Maps program. This will let you navigate to our cabin and around the area even if you don't have cell coverage. Neat, right??!
To do this, it's easy:
1. Open the Maps app and log in.
2. Search for Pigeon Forge. Zoom in/out so that the map you see contains everything from Gatlinburg on the bottom to Sevierville on the top. Don't be afraid to zoom way out because it'll get everything in between.

On iPhone: Tap the name, tap More.., select Download Offline Map > Download
On Android: Tap the name, select Download, click Download
We strongly recommend you come with your car as that will give you the freedom to explore and enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains area. As you already know, we offer free parking spots.
You generally wont need to have 4wd for the cabin as the roads are well maintained.

Great stay! Bear came right up to the porch. Road is definitely steep but it is the mountains.. lol. No traffic by this cabin at all really, so it was secluded and peaceful.- Posted: 9/11/2025

Justin did an outstanding job. It is a beautiful, well kept cabin close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We truly enjoyed the hot tub, double bathrooms, and the woodland views from the cabin! We will definitely be staying with Justin when we return in the future.- Posted: 8/15/2025

Loved this cabin! Husband and I booked for a quick weekend getaway. Hot tub was hot and clean on arrival.
Only downside, was the driveway was steep and hard to get up. I have a Yukon and it struggled up the final stretch. Would not recommend smaller cars to book this location.

We went for our honeymoon and honestly couldn't have chose better. The dog absolutely has fun watching the wildlife walk around from the cabin. The cabin was interesting to get to but it's very private and out of the way but still within 20 minutes of everything you want to go to. Safe to say we will be revisiting!- Posted: 6/24/2025

Nice quiet place to relax for my husband and I after days of hiking and exploring the park. The road up to the cabin was very steep and winding, the last approach a bit of a challenge for a low profile, rear wheel drive, manual transmission car, but doable in dry weather.
Kitchen was nice, good for cooking meals. Bed comfortable, hot tub on the deck was okay - not super strong jets, but relaxing. Wifi worked great.

Perfect hide away and easy to access everything .
Really had a nice place to just kick back and rest because it rained most of the time we were there and enjoyed the hot tube while it rained and watching tv with the multiple channels of movies and programs to watch or taking a nap in the very comfortable bed they have down stairs . Amazing cabin
We had an amazing time for our first trip to the area. Loved how secluded and quiet it was. Cabin was big and very clean. Loved being able to bring our dogs too. Loved having the grill. Taught my 6yr old son how to play pool and loved the hot tub. We even got a visit from the local black bear and got to watch it wander around. My wife loved the bird watching from multiple decks. We greatly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was private, with no view of any other properties off of the hot tub deck. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils/dishes and the grill was clean and in good condition. We loved being able to have our dog. Distance from the cabin to town was quick so it made running out for any errands or activities easy.

we loved our stay at Justin's cozy bear lodge! we saw elk and turkeys on the way in thru GSMNP and the scenery was top notch. the drive up to the property may be tough for small sedans in certain weather conditions but we did well in our small sedan in moderate rain! we enjoyed a well equipped kitchen and spending time in the hot tub. it was equidistant between Gatlinburg and pigeon forge so the location was very convenient. this cabin was perfect for 2! the downstairs was much colder than upstairs so I think my wife used all the extra blankets but I thought it was great and perfect for sleeping! the drive up was a little scary with the sharp turns and steep hills so be prepared for that but it was easy to find! it was definitely worth the money and the drive, I would recommend and stay again. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing getaway in this cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy. Any issues we had relating to the cabin we addressed by Justin in a very timely manner. We really enjoyed being able to bring our dogs with us. I will advise that there is a pretty small space for animal potty breaks outside so our dogs had a tough time going because they’re roamers. Loved being as close as we were to everything! Pigeon forge, gatlinburg, Dollywood you name it! Which made it easy for returning to get comfy and rest after a long day of exploring.
I will say don’t forget your phone in the house if you plan to hot tub, go on patio, or grab something from the car cause we did get locked out! Luckily I had my boyfriends phone so I called my parents go on my laptop and get the phone number from the email for help!
But definitely reccomend a good idea for Justin to place the phone number by the door just in case!! Haha made for a fun story though!
Overall so fun playing pool and the arcade game! As well as relax and watch a movie!

Justin's cabin was a great place to stay to explore the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg area. He was super responsive and was able to accommodate us with little notice and was a great communicator throughout the process.
The cabin is a great place to unwind with a pool table, fireplace, comfy couch and a fantastic master bedroom with jetted tub and second level porch swing. We visited in late July/early Aug and it was hot outside but the cabin stayed nice and cool inside.

Justin’s cabin was perfect for our small family. We enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, and drinking coffee in the mornings on the large porches. The cabin is just minutes away from the national park and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Justin was a great host and did everything to ensure we had a pleasant stay! I loved staying at this cabin! It feels very isolated so it’s a great place to get out and relax. We didn’t really want to interact with people and nobody bothered us, it was perfect. Cabin is close to everything, had hot tub and jacuzzi to relax, I liked the layout. This place is pet friendly which is rare in the area and essential to our family. Justin was a great host! He was proactive with communication, and the instructions were clear, making check-in easy. Justin was quick when responding to our messages, and had answers to all of our questions.
The cabin itself was WONDERFUL! Beautiful and peaceful, very homey. The house was very clean upon arrival and had what was needed to get us started on our vacation. The cabin was easy to get to, and is the perfect distance between the two towns.

We really enjoyed our stay even though we had some rainy days it was enjoyable just staying at the cabin cooking out and enjoying the hot tub and the woody environment. Setting on the porch in the mornings with your cup of coffee and listening to the birds, singing and the geese flying was so relaxing.

In all honesty, this was not only our first experience at the Smoky Mountains, but also going through Air BnB and it was all around amazing!
Justin was very responsive, had an amazing guidebook and made sure to answer any questions we may have had! The cabin was clean and the towels were even folded all cute just like the pictures! The Smoky Mountains are breathtaking and the people were so kind and fun too! We are definitely coming back (already trying to plan a trip with our closest friends) and will definitely be going through Justin again for a stay!
This cabin was in the middle of the main cities, in the national park so no matter your preference you can find something for everyone!

Great cabin in the mountains. A lot bigger than we thought, great for 2 people and a dog. Being pet friendly made our whole trip so much more convenient! A lot to do in the area, only 15 minutes to downtown gatlinburg, but you could easily stay in this cozy cabin most of the day. Everything was wonderful! We had a bit of bad weather with icy roads that made the last curve up to the cabin a bit difficult to navigate without preparations. After check-in, we think an ice fairy left a container of "ice melt" on the porch. The cabin was great! I was very impressed with the appearance of the place. This is a pet friendly cabin and detail to cleanliness was not overlooked. We brought our pup and it was nice to see incorporated welcoming touches for her as well. It is a great place. The amenities will keep you busy while staying in and it is so close to the National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge that you have plenty to do out as well. Justin’s cabin nestled in the woods was the perfect little getaway for the holidays. It was in a beautiful location stocked with many activities to occupy us on the rainy day. We got our money’s worth in the hot tub and pool table. The cabin was very clean. Justin was a very responsive host and had solutions for any problem we encountered. My husband and I had a great stay here! The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed. The road up to the cabin was a little steep, so keep that in mind when booking winter months. Justin's place was just what we were looking for. Private and secluded and really cool! Loved the Sasquatch in the woods off the porch. Not far from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, either are close in each direction. The hot tub on the porch was great in the cold weather while we were there. We had an amazing time at this location. You're in the middle of both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forege, which made getting around a breeze. The hot tub was amazing and our favorite thing at the cabin. I was really pleased to find a pet friendly place where we could bring our furry friend instead of finding a sitter. It's definitely a quiet and relaxing place to stay. The Cozy Bear Cabin was the perfect getaway for my family. Its location enabled us to do a variety of activities in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Smokies. The place was clean and had all the essentials for our stay, so all we had to do was grocery shop. We loved the 2 decks on the back of the house for grilling and relaxing later in the day. We loved staying here.. wanted to stay longer. The communication with the office people could have been better bc we were at the wrong house for 45 min as they tried to help us in and didn't realize until we thought we would walk around the area and realized we were at the wrong spot. Other than that, we absolutely loved our stay and loved the lay out of the place. Was a great get away for our family of 4 as we had sleepover and could bathe while we relaxed in bed!!! Lol

Amazing cabin
We had an amazing time for our first trip to the area. Loved how secluded and quiet it was. Cabin was big and very clean. Loved being able to bring our dogs too. Loved having the grill. Taught my 6yr old son how to play pool and loved the hot tub. We even got a visit from the local black bear and got to watch it wander around. My wife loved the bird watching from multiple decks. Perfect hide away and easy to access everything .
Really had a nice place to just kick back and rest because it rained most of the time we were there and enjoyed the hot tube while it rained and watching tv with the multiple channels of movies and programs to watch or taking a nap in the very comfortable bed they have down stairs . We had a wonderful time staying at Justin’s place! We arrived to a very clean home, with all the kitchen amenities we needed. The kids loved the games and pool table. The hot tub was great after a long day of walking. We found linens for both pullouts ready to use. They even left some laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent for us to use during our stay. We found 2 dog bowls for use which was a great added touch. I loved that Justin doesn’t charge for dogs to stay. We brought our two sweet Frenchies with us and they had the best time staying with us. We enjoyed the basement deck, relaxing on the porch swing and the dogs were able to safely lay around with us. We saw several bears while we were there. They usually came early morning or evening, but a couple passed by one day about noon. They pass right by the front and back deck, but never stopped or seemed to mind us. We reserved our first ever Airbnb with Justin and couldn't have been more pleased with the location and amenities. We did have a slight hiccup with the hot tub not functioning properly; however, after reaching out to Justin we were able troubleshoot the issue and it worked perfectly. Justin was very responsive if we ever needed to reach out and was always willing to assist to make sure our stay was as relaxing and as possible. A couple things to note: the road leading to the cabin is very steep and has a sharp turn which we had to use 4-wheel drive to maneuver on two of days as it had rained and was slightly slick and we saw a black bear walking down the road and through the woods each day of our stay so pay close attention when going to and from your car, walking your pets, etc. All in all it was a wonderful location, beautiful cabin and great host which we will book through again when we return to the Smokies!- Posted: 5/29/2023

Loved our stay! The cabin is a perfect getaway for couples. The location is quiet and private but only a short drive to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the park. The cabin is clean, nicely laid out, has everything you need, and is exactly what I'd expect from a cute little cabin in the mountains! We had some trouble getting the hot tub up and running the first evening, but Justin was very responsive and the issue ended up solving itself while we were out to dinner, so no complaints there. The road up to the cabin is quite steep, which is not unusual for the area, but we had no trouble navigating the roads or finding our way to the right place. I only wish we could have stayed longer since we're just in town for the weekend, but this cabin is definitely on our list when we get to come back to the area!- Posted: 5/14/2023

Nice cold air conditioner and hot tub was great! Everything was great! One word of caution, we brought our two small dogs and there was a black bear (small) right behind the cabin. (Also chipmunks) Was awesome! Just make sure you leash your dogs.- Posted: 5/12/2023

Cabin was in a very hilly location, very woodsy. My old SUV made some questionable sounds getting there, luckily we didn't encounter any head on traffic either, those roads are VERY narrow. The cabin had a little scent of dog upstairs, but not too bad for a pet friendly location honestly. Everything as described. My kid was obsessed with the arcade machine. Super close to Pigeon Forge. Very glad that the host reached out to tell me to download the maps to my phone. My t-mobile cell service was literally useless in the area, even in town, but my maps still worked thanks to his forewarning. Also take a screen shot of your door code in case you get there and have zero cell service like I did!- Posted: 5/7/2023

Had an amazing stay at Justin’s cabin. Everything was clean as if I was staying at a nice hotel. The hot tub was completely private as well as the decks and sitting areas. Will 100% go back.- Posted: 5/3/2023

Justin's place was great. It was very private and all had the ameneties! Justin was a great host and helpful during a weather related power outage. Thanks to his responsiveness the power was restored quickly. Great access to Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Downtown Gatlinburg. The grill and hot tub were nice touches!
