Honey Bear Lodge is a four bedroom Smoky Mountain cabin for families who want to actually enjoy their time together — not just survive the trip. Cozy mountain soul with modern tech and thoughtful upgrades.

It's comfortable, well cared for, and set up the way a family cabin should be.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲
Our layout is designed for coexistence without chaos:

𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 Two queen bedrooms, full kitchen, and the primary deck with hot tub, fire table, propane bbq grill, outdoor dining, and Mt. LeConte views.

𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 The "Entertainment Hub" — two king bedrooms, each with extra sleeping: the Family Suite (king + bunk beds) and the Flex Room (king + futon). Plus the game room and a private upper deck with Adirondack seating and a quiet high-top for two — the spot you'll fight over for morning coffee. Late-night pool games won't wake the early risers downstairs.

We added a dedicated kids' area because we've been the parents trying to keep children entertained in spaces designed entirely for adults — and it didn't work.

Here you'll find a kid-sized table with seating, games and puzzles for little hands, and board games for when the whole family wants to play. The layout lets kids do their thing while you're ten feet away, coffee in hand, actually relaxing.

It's a small thing. It makes a big difference.

We set this cabin up the way we like to travel:

The cabin has been recently refreshed with comfort in mind:

Guests have full access to the entire cabin, both deck levels, hot tub, fire table, game room, and all amenities. Parking for up to 4 vehicles. The Level 2 EV charger is located in the parking area.

𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸
Mountain roads at night can be stressful. We've tried to make it less so:

● Solar-powered driveway lighting
● Reflective guide poles
● Smart lock check-in (no fumbling with lockboxes)
● Clear instructions sent before you arrive

Winter travelers: AWD or 4WD recommended in snowy conditions.

You'll find the cabin. You'll get in. It'll be fine.

Honey Bear Lodge is located in Chalet Village, one of Gatlinburg's most established mountain communities — with direct views of Mt. LeConte and easy access to everything the Smokies have to offer.

● ~10 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg
● ~10-15 minutes to Anakeesta & SkyLift Park
● ~10 minutes to Great Smoky Mountains National Park
● ~1 mile to Ober Gatlinburg (skiing, tubing, scenic chairlift)
● ~15-20 minutes to Pigeon Forge
● ~12 miles to Dollywood

Close enough to do everything. Quiet enough to feel like you got away.

A few family-friendly spots we recommend:

● 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 (~15 min) — Gatlinburg institution since 1960. 24 pancake varieties. Cash only, worth the wait.
● 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘁'𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 (~15 min) — Hearty Appalachian breakfast in a rustic cabin setting. The cinnamon rolls are massive.
● 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝗱𝗱𝘆'𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 (~15 min) — Wood-fired pizza, laid-back vibe, kids love it.
● 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 (~15 min) — Steaks and burgers in a mountain lodge atmosphere. Good for a "special night out" with the family.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗸𝘀
Honey Bear Lodge is in Chalet Village — one of the few Gatlinburg communities with real amenities beyond your cabin.

Your stay includes access to three clubhouses:

● Outdoor pools with kids' wading areas (open Memorial Day – Labor Day)
● Lighted tennis courts
● Game rooms with pool tables, foosball, ping pong
● Playground for ages 12 & under
● Shuffleboard, horseshoes, walking trails

Rainy day? Head to a clubhouse game room. Hot afternoon? Three pools to choose from. It's like having a resort membership built into your stay.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀
We didn't name it Honey Bear Lodge for nothing. Black bears are regular visitors to this part of Chalet Village — and watching one wander through the woods from your deck is part of the Smoky Mountain experience. Keep your distance, don't leave food or trash outside, and enjoy the show.

Honey Bear Lodge is a family cabin in Gatlinburg with hot tub, mountain views, game room, and the space for everyone to actually enjoy the trip. Whether you're hiking the Smokies, visiting Dollywood, skiing at Ober, or just relaxing on the deck — this is your home base.
