Honey Bear Treehouse

Property was beautiful. it was perfect for kids with the upstairs loft and pull out beds. The two rooms were roomy as well and the living room area was nice and open. Remember there are bears so lock your cars and the cabin up! But other than that they didn't bother us.

It was a wonderful and beautiful cabin, very spacious, durable for our large family of 13, and fun to stay in! There were plenty of dishes; glasses; pots; pans; bowls; casserole dishes; silverware; pillows; sheets; comforters; sleeping space with beds and sleeper sofas; space to put our food, snacks, and paper products; various board games and fussball to play; plenty of seating inside and outside; and we were actually able to watch several different bears up close and safe while staying inside this spacious cabin. Thank you so much for all of the hard work and effort you took to help make our stay most enjoyable and a blessing for us all!

We really enjoyed the cabin and the scenery. We seen some bears which we loved. The foosball table was a hit with the kids and adults. The hot tub was really nice and relaxing. You can control the temperature.

The house was perfect for our trip! It was very clean and spacious for everyone in our group. Justin was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. The pool amenity was an awesome way to wind down our kids after a long day of walking. We saw a bear every day which was also pretty neat. Beautiful house and would love to bring family and friends back!

We had an amazing stay! We even had a Friendly Bear Visitor that gave us memories we will remember forever. He just walked around the house said hello tried to open the car and went on his way. He was no trouble and the kids named him Henry lol. The kids said this was the best vacation ever! Beds were comfortable and all the comforts of home! We will definitely be back.

Great place, steep roads up and great views with privacy and comfort. Bring the basics like garbage bags, aluminum foil, and charcoal for the bbq. Justin was responsive and there were plenty of instructions for set up and clean up.

I loved the house, it was adorable. The property manager was difficult to get a hold of, I’ve got many messages that were never answered and had a few calls not returned, but they were minor questions. Do be prepared, the bears will visit multiple times a day. I was terrified of going outside with my toddler. I blocked off the deck with chairs and a baby bear and momma still snuck up on us in the AM and terrified and traumatized both of us. No aggression in them, but it’s terrifying to have your 2 year old 2 ft from a baby bear and momma right behind, I don’t care who you are!

It is a great cabin - it offers parking, an open layout for entertaining and the master suite is tucked away with seperate fireplace. We would recommend!!

We had a wonderful family vacation in this cabin. We loved the location and how easy was the drive up the cabin. The views are gorgeous. We were a family of 14 and we all slept comfortably. The cabin had everything we needed. The host was very attentive and responded quickly to any question we had. This is our second time in Gatlinburg and our favorite so far. We would love to come back in the future.

Our stay at as nothing short of wonderful. The love the owners have put into this cabin is truly evident. I don’t know if my kids have ever loved a cabin more. Everything in the cabin is so organized and clean, and it is geared towards ease, comfort, and fun for all. The owner was very responsive and willing to help whenever needed. Looking forward to future stays at this same cabin!

My family enjoyed the cabin with its amenities! The kitchen is well appointed and my 19 year old granddaughter really enjoyed the hot tub. We loved being tucked into the mountains and then going out to enjoy local shopping and entertainment. We did have an uneventful visit from a local bear but all went well.

It did not have wide open views of the surrounding mountains but that was not advertised and beautiful views were close by. It was very private. The homes across the street were the only homes within view. Only one mile to the top of Ober Mountain. Very close to Parkway and edge of town so easy to avoid traffic during busy times and if you want to see bears, just sit back on the couch or porch and they will just walk right by. So beautiful to see them in the wild. Please give them their space, never feed them, and never leave food in your car.

Check in was seamless. Location was just perfect. Clean house. Responsive owners. Now, let’s talk about how this place functioned for our family of 4 with 2 younger kids. The games were a big hit. This cabin is a 2 bedroom with a loft which serves as a 3rd bedroom and game room but has no door for privacy. At first, when we got there, our kids were fighting over who would sleep in the loft. However, when nighttime came and they realized there were lots of windows in the loft and no curtains or shades, they both got a little scared to be in the loft alone, so they both slept in the second bedroom together in the king bed. Worked out perfectly. I didn’t really want them in the loft anyway. They probably would have played games all night! Lol. The beds were quite squeaky/loud, but comfortable with comfy pillows. Now, let’s talk about the Bears! The morning after we arrived, we discovered wet dirt bear smudges on all four doors and handles of our car. Thankfully, we left no food in the car. No damage to the car, which was nice. The third morning as we were loading up the car to go on a hiking adventure, my wife and daughter were standing at the car and as I walked out the front door, I was 5 feet away from Mama bear and a cub who were just standing there looking at us. A little startling, but cool. I made some noise as mama bear tried to open the car door with my wife and daughter inside, then she went away and her cub followed. All things considered, 5 star experience.

My family & I stayed at the honey tree bear air bnb & I have to say everything is as pictured. Location, fairly easy to find but very curvy roads, sharp turns & steep hills okay for a small car during summertime. It’s a plus with it being so close to downtown Gatlinburg & pigeon forge. As many times as I’ve stayed around Gatlinburg/pigeon forge areas I haven’t seen this many black bears as I have this time go around. Mind you, me and my family we cooked the whole time we stayed so that must’ve been what attracted a lot of mama bear and baby bear. As we were loading during checkout day a mama bear did get into my car while we were taking our time loading things one at a time. Just be careful. I made a small mistake by leaving it unlocked. Couldn’t find the pool area so we just did without, which is fine. Beds & sleeping areas were more than enough provided for my family and I do appreciate that very much. And my host was awesome at communicating & making sure our stay was great!

Spent 5 days making memories. Justin place is beautiful! Everything is close, had the bears visit every day, (grandbabies loved that) so many things inside the cabin for family’s to do. Kitchen has everything you need to make meals. We definitely will be back in the future.

We travelled from Houston by road with family and cannot be more happier with this centrally connected and excellent property with everything you need. Though some of the views are covered due to springtime, if you need to relax with family, have fun and love to cook, look no further. I stayed during my earlier visit in Pigeon Forge but I liked this location as its 5 mins from Ober mountain for all fun activities as well drive to Ziplines and other activities or drive to Clingman dome. We had bears visit on all days of our stay as this property is on bear pass route. I cannot thank enough the owner Justin for his excellent communication and response for any questions I had. I will def. come back here when I plan Smoky trip again in future.

The Honey Bear Treehouse was everything just like it was listed! It had plenty of space for our group of 14. The sleeping arrangements were plentiful! The kitchen was well equipped with every we needed! There were many 4 legged bear visitors each day of our stay and there were many games for us to play while we watched them from indoors! Justin was very responsive and addressed any concerns and questions that arose! It was close enough to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

My family and I love this cabin. We love that it’s located up the mountain with beautiful scenery it also has plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. They have games and books that family can stay busy with and other entertainment. What we love the most was how a bear would come visit us every morning. That’s definitely the closest I’ve been to a bear which was an amazing experience. The roads are steep but well worth the drive with the scenic view. Justin made it very easy with clear instructions on how to check in and everything we needed. Not to mention everything was very close made it easy to get to where we were going. This is a great place to stay. We felt right at home. Definitely will be booking again.

We loved our stay! Beautiful place with awesome views! Could even see the city lights in the valley at night and lucked out to see a shooting star over the mountains! Justin and his team advised us of a power outage while we were on our way which was cleared up for check-in, but just an example of his dedication to accommodating his guests with excellent communication before, during and after the stay. Very impressed! Easy driveway was definitely a plus compared to some of the homes we saw throughout the mountain drives. Would love to return and highly recommend this property and host!

Lovely home - really well furnished and decorated - can tell a lot of thought was put into the place. Loved the foosball table and kitchen was very well stocked. For the views and the cozy cabin ambience, this really is a great deal and perfect place to stay for couples and even families with small children! It’s also the perfect location to stay in Gatlinburg because it is very close to the main town area but also remote enough to be in the mountains. Can’t wait to go back!

The cabin/house is perfect. Perfect space! The house had practically everything a person needs. All kitchen appliances, top of the line cook ware. Baby gate, a few other baby necessities. For the amount of money I paid the one thing I think they could’ve had more of was tissue paper and a pac man 😊other than that my family loved the place. The drive up at first is a little uncomfortable but after a couple of trips up, it’s well worth it. I will def book again.
