This was a beautiful cabin and pretty isolated (a good thing). The space was great for a small family retreat. Of note: the kitchen was incredibly well stocked for those that wish to cook meals! Shane was super responsive and very quick to respond. This location is an easy 20 minute commute to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, Sevierville, and The Great Smokey Mountains National Park. We had a great time and have already scheduled a second visit in the near future. Highly recommend this cabin for folks looking to explore the area and yet be comfortably secluded in the mountains.- Posted: 8/17/2025
Place is exactly as listed. You have neighbors, but enough trees in between that you feel quite secluded and private too. It’s a delightful setting perfect for relaxing and enjoying the nature around you, which is exactly what we were looking for. The house has many different options for relaxing outside while enjoying the setting. Several decks out back or the wrap around porch or balcony in the front. Whether it was our morning coffee or watching the fading light of day, we loved beginning and ending each day out there.
We did not see any bears actually at the cabin but saw several mamas and cubs quite near the house on our drive to and from the house.
The kitchen was quite adequate to cook in, but we also took advantage of the many places to eat nearby….especially liked the Abbey in Townsend and their chicken tacos.
Took in several hikes at the park and enjoyed the foothills parkway, taking in a sunset there on one of their many lookouts.
Great week! Nice place!!- Posted: 8/9/2025
My boyfriend, kids and I had a trip we’ll never forget! The cabin was amazing! Felt very cozy and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay - pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, coffee maker, washer and dryer, comfy beds, etc. Shane was so responsive with anything we needed and even reached out several times to see if we needed any local recommendations and sent coupons for local activities. The cabin has a stair case that leads down to overlook a river. It rained while we were there so the river was loud and so peaceful. We saw a bear during our stay who minded his business as we watched him walk by. You may see noted in several other reviews, the driveway to get to the cabin is VERY steep. We have a Hyundai Palisade that did fine, it’s just nerve wrecking getting up that incline. Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend this cabin. We’ll be staying with Shane again in the future.- Posted: 7/31/2025
Shane was very responsive to all communication. The listing was very accurate. One note, we were not expecting the last bit of road up to the driveway to be as steep as it was. I would recommend 4wd even during dry summer months. Overall great stay and would definitely stay again.- Posted: 7/15/2025
I had a stress free experience staying at the cabin! We enjoyed being nestled in the forest and it felt very private which was great. Hearing the nearby stream made sitting on the deck feel very serene. I would recommend as long as you don’t mind a longer drive to get to the Smoky Mountains or Gatlinburg.- Posted: 7/10/2025
Beautiful views, peaceful, clean and homey, will definitely return- Posted: 7/7/2025
Nathan, thank you for your kind words. We’re glad you enjoyed the beautiful views and found the home peaceful and clean. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!Smoky Mountain Holiday staff
Our stay was nice and we made plenty of memories! The house is beautiful and in a nice, peaceful location. I advise caution on the driveway as there isn’t good visibility when driving up it and there are other houses at the top; it’s a bit steep, but 2-wheel drive cars manage. Views and ambience are amazing and the house is super cozy! Rooms are a good size, comfy, and homey. We did have a couple of issues with the upstairs shower (lack of cold water vs lack of pressure, had to choose one or the other) and the dishwasher (had to delay start), but I believe this comes with rentable homes due to wear and tear. The only issue we had with communication was regarding the hot tub— I have no experience with them and didn’t want to accidentally damage it but I never heard back from Shane regarding this so we did not use it unfortunately.
My honest rating is a 4.75/5 as we did have a couple of issues but we overall had a great time and enjoyed the house! I would recommend this house regardless!- Posted: 6/7/2025
The place was beautiful. It was the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Shane was great, he was responsive and provided great recommendations for things to do!- Posted: 5/24/2025
The view in the way up as well as when you get to the cabin is breathtaking there is a walkway that leads down on the side of the cabin it was so amazing and you can see and hear the flow of the water it was so peaceful we enjoyed staying in the most- Posted: 5/11/2025
We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy cabin! It was clean, well-equipped, and tucked away in a peaceful location which is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was responsive and thoughtful, and every detail made the place feel warm and welcoming. I’d definitely come back again!- Posted: 5/5/2025
Hi Josephine, thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're truly grateful you found the cabin cozy and well-stocked for your relaxing escape. It means a lot to know the little touches helped make your stay feel warm and inviting. We’d love to host you again anytime—safe travels until then!Smoky Mountain Holiday staff
Excellent cabin to stay at when you are visiting Smoky Mountains National Park. It's quiet, away from the crowded Gaitlinberg and Pigeon Forge areas while still not too far to go there for food. The place itself is very beautiful, with a cozy vibe. We will definitely come back here when visiting the park next time.- Posted: 4/27/2025
We had a great trip with plenty to do in pidgeon forge. Cabin was beautiful and we expect to return in the future.- Posted: 4/16/2025
Very nice and peaceful cabin, the highest and best views of the cabins in that area. The bedrooms were very big with their own private bathrooms. The living rooms and kitchen were clean and the couches were very comfortable to nap in and enjoy socializing in. Porches all had beautiful views and the hot tub was super nice especially at night. The standout feature were the various decks leading to the creek, the most I’ve been in tune with nature. Would come again anytime I’m visiting the area!- Posted: 4/6/2025
In addition to this cabin being exactly as described and beautiful, this is also great because of the location and the great communication from Shane.
The location is an easy and pretty drive either to Pigeon Forge, and nestled up to a mountain in a great private spot. The walkways down toward the stream give easy access to a serene private world.
The email we received right before checkin literally answered every question we could have and set the stage for a great week in the Smokies.
We had a great stay, and will be on the lookout to return again if it is available.- Posted: 3/30/2025
Had a great stay! House was beautiful and very clean. Hosts were amazing and responded fast. Will definitely be back!!- Posted: 3/24/2025
The cabin was as perfect as the pictures on the website. It was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and in the hot tub quite often.- Posted: 3/20/2025
The cabin was super cozy nestled up a mountain. It is a steep drive up so I would highly recommend keeping that in mind depending on the season. The cabin offers beautiful views with many viewing options. The beds are comfortable. I did not want to leave. The hosts are super responsive and quick to respond. Highly recommended booking with them!- Posted: 3/16/2025
This place was a 10000/10. Shane was a great host and was very responsive. This made my cabin trip worth the experience, very peaceful, quiet and a beautiful scenery.- Posted: 3/9/2025
Very clean and host was very helpful and responsive, will book again- Posted: 3/2/2025
Location was great. Everything you want and need for a week away from home.- Posted: 2/21/2025
I fell in love with the cabin from the first moment, everything was very nice, a cozy place, I wanted to reserve an extra night but unfortunately I was booked. Without thinking twice we will return and we recommend it to our friends and family. Thanks 😊- Posted: 1/3/2025
We had an amazing stay. Location was ideal, close to the park but on the quiet side. The cabin is beautiful with plenty of room to spread out and relax. The deck and boardwalk around the back were a cool touch. We also enjoyed the balcony. The hot tub was also wonderful after a long day of hiking. Only note would be that the last very short stretch of road up to the house was very steep. We were able to do it in a Prius but I would be hesitant to attempt it in snowy or icy conditions.- Posted: 1/1/2025
Best place we have stayed in so far. We have been up here a lot. Will definitely be booking again- Posted: 12/29/2024
Everything was good.- Posted: 12/25/2024
