We had a wonderful time during our stay. The TV situation was a little crazy but we got by. The pool is pretty small for a property that houses up to 22 people but we still had A LOT of fun! Check-in was easy. You may want to let your guests know in advance that they should download check-in instructions/access code due to the spotty internet signal.

A little piece of paradise! Our family had a fantastic vacation at Pioneer Trail Retreat. I’ve been renting vacation homes through VRBO for 2 decades, and this is probably my family’s favorite place now (mine also)! It was super clean, with everything we needed. Nice and tucked away in a little hollow, it is an amazing location and property. Lots of room to spread out and relax. The pool and fire pit area was our favorite spot. We’ve already rebooked for next year’s vacation and cannot wait. Most highly recommended!

Exactly what our family needed! 7 adults, 6 kids, 2 dogs - we had plenty of room to spread out and to gather. The setting is beautiful, very private but not far from all that Pigeon Forge has to offer. Abundant wildlife made it especially fun.

We had a group of three families that stayed for the baseball tournament. The set up and the location of this property was perfect! We had plenty of space for us and the kids and we all had a really great time. We would definitely come back!

The cabin is spacious. Very clean and relaxing. Enjoyed seeing the bears. We stayed as family vacation. Wish the pool was available. Will return.

The amount of space to spread out here is amazing. We will likely be back with a larger group to enjoy it all again. Location is scenic and out of the way but so close to all the things. The dining space in the main house so we could all eat together was wonderful. Everything you need in the kitchen. Being completely honest we were here for spring break and there were some random things laying around the property and some broken door handles and flooring. Things that could be fixed with a quick walk through by the owner, and with the way this host was so responsive I’m sure will be fixed asap. It’s a one of a kind place to stay and kept us all together when we wanted to be with the option to separate when we needed to. Earned its 5 stars for sure!

The cabins were clean and ready to use. The host and the assistant were very responsive and helpful. They kept in contact pryer to our stay and during. I would recommend this place!!

We had a great stay here. Beautiful property, very peaceful and close to activities in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Kids loved the hot tub and heated pool, and there were a ton of rooms for people to stay. Only bummer was that both of the games in the game room were broken, which our kids had been excited about. But overall we really enjoyed our time.

We had a great time at the cabins and we will definitely be back. It is a sprawling property with plenty of room. The owner was great to deal with. I sent several messages back and forth with random questions ahead of our trip and they always responded timely. I asked them if there was a Keurig machine and they said there is not but when we arrived there was a brand new one on the counter! Very nice. Driving up into the cabin the first time is not for the faint of heart. There a lot of hair pin curves. It was less scary after the first time. But I wouldn’t take a car that doesn’t have much pickup.

Simply, WOW! It would be hard to overstate how perfect this home was for our family over Labor Day weekend. It’s a sprawling estate that has the perfect combination of shared communal spaces (like the pool, the large family kitchen or the massive theater/game room) while at the same time providing enough private spaces for the quieter ones among us to retreat to nature and solitude. Will definitely book again!

Our whole family, totaling 14 adults and two babies ages 3 and 10 months stayed here for the 2024 Jeep Invasion. It was great to be all on the same property but with our separate spaces! We enjoyed the quiet seclusion of the property and watching the Momma and her 3 cubs. We stayed up on the pool deck and watched the cubs wrestle down the hill for quite a while . As expected, none of us had phone service at the property and We did have to drive back closer to the parkway for phone signal to reach out to the hosts regarding the Wi-Fi password, they responded quickly with the correct password. The TV’s would be only area that could have been better .. in the main cabin where Wi-Fi is available we were able to watch but in the game room and other two cabins we were not - totally not a big deal for us. The property was perfect for an extended family Jeep Invasion vacation!! Plenty of parking for 5 Jeeps (and 1 civic).

We recently stayed with 4 families with kids ages 7-13. The property is located close to all that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. The house was well maintained and comfortable. We had 17 people and had plenty of space. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. A few things to note, the Wildflower House did have a king bed and one twin bunk bed. The pictures, at least at the time we booked were not accurate, they showed two bunk beds. Bears are definitely active in the area. We were greeted one day when we arrived home by a mama bear and her three cubs. One night while the kids were in the pool area papa bear came right up to the pool fence. Then one morning we had a mama and two cubs near the front porch when we woke up. The bears did just move along when we attempted to scare them off, but do make sure to be vigilant. None of us had any cell signal at the house. There is wifi in the main house, but it stopped working while we were there and couldn't figure out how to get it back up and running. Justin was very responsive, but it was difficult to communicate with no phone or internet service and we were leaving so we just managed.

Shane thank you for being accommodating and providing amazing service. Everything was more than expected. We had ages from 7 to 81 in our group and everyone had their own space. The pool and game room is fantastic, there were 4 women in the kitchen (main house) at the same time without a problem while the men sat in the dining area watching tv and talking. The bed slept well. There was plenty of room and running space outside for my granddaughters service dog. Everything was amazing. Hopefully we will spend time there in the future. Thanks again for everything.

We had a great time at this property. We were greeted by a mother bear and her 3 cubs. Plenty of space for everyone to gather together or spend some time alone. All the amenities you need to give you the comfort of home. The pool, game room and fire pit were a hit with the kids. Great base of operations for the countless recreational activities nearby. Clingmans Dome was a sight to behold and Gatlinburg trail was a nice dog friendly hike. Definitely recommend for large parties with kids.

My family and I truly enjoyed staying at this location it was more then enough space for us we were able to enjoy staying in just as much going out and checking out the scenery. We did run into a little hiccup with the water pipe in bathroom one, however they did their best to try to fix the problem. Wifi was only available in the main house and no cell phone service. That had it's downside but it also had an up side as well forcing our family to really spend quality time together without being so caught up in our devices so that was beautiful within itself. My family and I would definitely choose this cabin retreat again for future Pigeon Forge trips.

This rental has it all! There are spaces to spread out or gather all together. The pool and hot tub area was a hit with everyone. It was less than 10 minutes to the main street in Pigeon Forge but still felt secluded. The kitchen has everything you could need. My family loved staying here and we hope to return on our next visit.

This is an ideal location for multiple families vacationing together! We had 17 family members (ages 9 months to 60 years old) and there was ample space for everyone! There was plenty to do on the property and near by.

We stayed 5 nights at The Pioneer Trail Cabins. The cabins were great for our family of 19. Our hosts were very helpful during our stay from check in to check out. We truly enjoyed our stay as the cabin was private but only a 5-10 minutes to Pigeon Forge. We would recommend and will stay again if we make it back to Tennessee. We would love to see the property in the spring!

close to all attractions, private and quiet, when you retire at night. Very clean, and helpful people if you need them but let you enjoy your trip when you don't need them.
